8/28/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14011 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 <br />TRUCKING AND HAULING SERVICE PROJECT; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Trucking <br />and Hauling Service Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Greg's Trucking, Inc. of San Mateo, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Greg's Trucking, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Greg's Trucking, Inc. in the amount Forty Three Thousand <br />Five Hundred Fifty Dollars ($43,550.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br />proposal dated June 24, 2000 for the 2000 -2001 Trucking and hauling Service <br />Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement" (form dated 8/15/00) by <br />and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California and Greg's Trucking, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br />Reso -969 1 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS /fs <br />08/07/00 <br />
