9/11/00 <br />0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14023 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND <br />TRAINING FOR MICROENTERPRISES (SMALL BUSINESS <br />DEVELOPMENT CENTER) <br />SAN MATEO COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT/ <br />CANADA COLLEGE <br />WHEREAS, San Mateo County Community College District/Canada College <br />(Contractor) conducts a job training program for residents of the City of Redwood City <br />(the Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Two Thousand Three Hundred and <br />no /100 Dollars ($102,300.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for <br />the foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />
