0 R I G I N A L - 9/11/00 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14043 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 STREET <br />LIGHT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (UPGRADING); <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13956, adopted July 24, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Street Light Improvement <br />Project (Upgrading) in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Republic Electric of Novato, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Republic Electric; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Republic Electric in the amount of Eighty Thousand Six <br />Hundred Twenty -nine and No /100 Dollars ($80,629.00), computed in accordance <br />with bidder's proposal dated August 22, 2000 for the 2000 -2001 Street Light <br />Improvement Project (Upgrading), is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2.
