O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14052 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />(1) COMPACT PICKUP TRUCK AND ONE (1) PASSENGER VAN; <br />AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br />THEREFOR <br />10/16/00 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the purchase of one (1) compact pickup truck and one (1) passenger van for the <br />Departments of Public Works Services and Parks, Recreations and Community <br />Services of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Towne Ford, of Redwood City, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder (meeting the City's vehicle specifications) and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of Towne Ford; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Towne Ford, in the total amount of Forty -four Thousand One <br />Hundred Thirty -two and 06/100 Dollars ($44,132.06), computed in accordance <br />with said bidder's proposal dated September 20, 2000 for the sale of one (1) <br />compact pickup truck and one (1) passenger van, which bid is on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />Reso-1001 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:/Shared/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />09/27/00 <br />
