0 R I ^ I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14077 <br />10/23/00 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE AUDITING, GEOCODING, AND <br />ASSOCIATED CONSULTING SERVICES FOR UTILITY USERS <br />TAX/FRANCHISE COMPLIANCE AND REVENUE PROTECTION <br />PROGRAM FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ( "City ") requires professional <br />services in furtherance of a comprehensive utility users tax/franchise compliance <br />and revenue protection program in conjunction with the legal and protective <br />services of City's outside counsel, Donald H. Maynor, A Professional Law <br />Corporation ( "Firm "); and <br />WHEREAS, MBIA MuniServices Company /Municipal Resource <br />Consultants ( "MMC "), represents that it possesses the experience, and is <br />qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement to Provide Auditing, <br />Geocoding, and Associated Consulting Services for Utility Users Tax/Franchise <br />Compliance and Revenue Protection Program for the City of Redwood City" <br />(form dated 10/13/00), by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California, and MBIA Muni /Services <br />Company /Municipal Resource Consultants, for the performance of the above - <br />mentioned services, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Reso -1019 1 <br />FXS:rg <br />F:/sh /sh /Redwood /Council <br />10/13/00 <br />
