1/29/01 <br />0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14138 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING <br />SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE REDWOOD SHORES <br />PARKWAY WIDENING PHASE II PROJECT <br />(SMITH -EMERY COMPANY) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires geotechnical and <br />construction materials testing and inspection services in connection wit the <br />Redwood Shores Parkway Widening Phase II Project in the City of Redwood City <br />(the "Project "); and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires professional <br />consulting services; and <br />WHEREAS, Smith -Emery Company of San Francisco, California, <br />represents that it possesses the experience, and is qualified to perform the <br />aforesaid services required for the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement - Professional Consulting <br />Services — Redwood Shores Parkway Widening Phase 11 Project" (form dated <br />01/19/01), by and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of <br />the State of California, and Smith -Emery Company, for the performance of the <br />above - mentioned services, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />Reso-1075 1 <br />DES:djk <br />P /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />01/19/01 <br />
