- O R I a I tI A L 03/26/01 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1417o <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH CREATE A SMILE FOUNDATION FOR <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE <br />WHEREAS, Create a Smile Foundation ( "Contractor ") provides <br />emergency assistance to Redwood City residents who become victims of <br />tragedy, violence, etc.; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct emergency services ( "Program ") for residents of Redwood City during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood city has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Five Thousand and No /100 Dollars <br />($5,000.00) ; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement — Create a Smile <br />Foundation ", (form dated 03/15/01), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />Reso -1107 1 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />FXS:djk <br />03/15/01 <br />
