04/09/01 <br />0RICINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14184 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC EDUCATION <br />SERVICES <br />(JAN FORD PUBLIC RELATIONS) <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association <br />sponsor anti -drunk driving campaigns throughout the County of San Mateo; and <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City Police Department on behalf of <br />participating agencies, has submitted an application for a grant from the <br />California Office of Traffic Safety ( "OTS ") to facilitate the "Avoid the 23 DUI <br />Campaign," a law enforcement program to reduce the incidence of driving under <br />the influence of alcohol and drugs ( "DUI ") in San Mateo County (the "Project "); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City of Redwood City <br />requires professional public education services; and <br />WHEREAS, Jan Ford Public Relations represents that it possesses the <br />experience, and is qualified to perform the aforesaid services for the Project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement For Professional Public <br />Education Services" (form dated 04/04/01R), by and between the City of ' <br />Reso -1091 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /Cou nci I <br />02/20/01 <br />04/04/01 R <br />
