4/23/01 <br />0 R I G I i l A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14196 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR 2000 -2001 BIKE PATH <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14154, adopted February 26, <br />2001, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Bike Path <br />Improvement Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, nine bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, MCH General Engineering Contractors, Inc. of San Jose, <br />California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of <br />this Council to award said bid to MCH General Engineering Contractors, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.The bid of MCH General Engineering Contractors, Inc. in the amount of <br />Two Hundred Four Thousand Two Hundred Fifty -eight and No /100 Dollars <br />($204,258.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated March 27, <br />2001 for the 2000 -2001 Bike Path Improvement Project, is hereby accepted and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br />Reso -1129 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />04/10/01 <br />
