5/7/01 <br />COPY <br />RESOLUTION NO 14208 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE <br />REDWOOD CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE SAN CARLOS <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE MENLO PARK POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT AND THE ATHERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") entitled, <br />"Memorandum of Understanding Between the Redwood City Police Department, <br />the San Carlos Police Department, the Menlo Park Police Department and the <br />Atherton Police Department Regarding the Redwood City Police Department's <br />Special Weapons and Tactics Team", by and between the City of Redwood City, <br />a municipal corporation of the State of California, the City of San Carlos, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, the City of Menlo Park, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California and the City of Atherton, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California for the purpose of establishing <br />and reestablishing a joint SWAT among the participating agencies to handle <br />certain tactical situations, a copy of which MOU is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved, and the Police Chief and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute, and to attest thereto, respectively, said MOU for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City: <br />Reso-1136 <br />F. \sh a red\Redwood\Cou n ci I\ <br />FXS!djk <br />04/17/01 <br />
