5/7/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14210 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2001 -2002 COST <br />SHARED SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14147, adopted February 26, <br />2001, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2001 -2002 Cost Shared Sidewalk <br />Repair Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, L & B Engineering, Inc. of San Francisco, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to L & B Engineering, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of L & B Engineering, Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred <br />Forty -five Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($245,950.00), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated April 25, 2001 for the <br />2001 -2002 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair Project, is hereby accepted and said <br />bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br />work. <br />Reso -979 1 <br />DES:djk <br />Shared /Redwood /Council <br />05/01/01 <br />
