6/11/01 <br />0 R I a I J A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 4955 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO APPROVE AN AMENDMENT <br />TO AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE BOARD OF <br />ADMINISTRATION OF THE PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' <br />RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has heretofore entered into an <br />agreement with the Board of Administration of the Public Employees' Retirement <br />System pursuant to the Public Employees' Retirement Law (Govt. C. §20000, et <br />seq.); and <br />WHEREAS, this Council proposes to amend the agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, prior to approving an amendment to the agreement a <br />resolution of intention shall be adopted giving notice thereof and containing a <br />summary of the change proposed by said amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a statement of the proposed change: <br />To provide Government Code Section 20042 ( "One -Year <br />Final Compensation ") for local miscellaneous members. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby give notice of <br />its intention to approve an amendment to the agreement between the City of <br />Redwood City and the Board of Administration of the Public Employees' <br />Reso -1157 <br />S h a red /Redwod /C o u n c i l <br />FXS:dik <br />05/22/01 <br />
