that said Board of Supervisors order consolidation of said District's election with <br />the General Municipal Election of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Charter of the City of <br />Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2078, adopted April 11, 1994, a General <br />Municipal Election shall be held on November 6, 2001, for the purpose of <br />electing three (3) Councilmembers for the full term of four (4) years each. <br />2. The Board of Supervisors of the City of San Mateo, California, is <br />hereby requested, pursuant to the provisions of Elections Code Sections 10402 <br />and 10403, to consolidate the General Municipal Election of the City of Redwood <br />City with the School District Elections of the Redwood City Elementary School <br />District to be held on November 6, 2001. <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to publish, or cause to <br />be published, in the official newspaper of the City of Redwood City, in the time, <br />form, and manner required by law, notice of the aforesaid General Municipal <br />Election. <br />4.
