O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1 d2FR <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 <br />WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />07/09/01 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14234, adopted May 21, 2001, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999 -2000 Watermain Replacement <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, P & J Utility Company of San Francisco, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to P & J Utility Company; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of P & J Utility Company in the amount of One Million Five <br />Hundred Seventy -four Thousand Two Hundred Forty -four and No /100 Dollars <br />($1,574,244.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 20, <br />2001 for the 2000 -2001 Watermain Replacement Project, is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for said work. <br />Reso -1188 1 <br />Shared /Redwood /Council <br />FXS:djk <br />06'25/01 <br />
