7/23/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1 4226 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIVE <br />(5) 105KW DIESEL PORTABLE EMERGENCY ELECTRICAL <br />GENERATORS AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Redwood City Code, the City <br />Clerk caused public notice inviting bids to be published for the purchase of seven <br />(7) 105KW Diesel Portable Emergency Electrical Generators; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication, three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Cummins -West, Inc., of San Leandro, CA, was the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to Cummins -West, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Cummins -West, Inc., in the amount of Two Hundred Thirty <br />Seven Thousand One Hundred Sixteen and 20/100 Dollars ($237,116.20), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 29, 2001, for the <br />purchase of five (5) Model 100DGDB Cummins -Onan Diesel- Driven Electrical <br />Generators for the Department of Community Development Services/ <br />Engineering and Construction, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br />found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2.
