_ 8/13/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 3 0 7 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF ELECTRONIC <br />PARKING METER MECHANISMS AND REPAIR PARTS AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br />CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires electronic <br />parking meter mechanisms and various repair parts to facilitate the replacement <br />of existing older type parking meters; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said parking <br />meter mechanisms and repair parts in an amount not to exceed Thirty -one <br />Thousand Four Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($31,450.00); <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of electronic parking <br />meter mechanisms and various repair parts for the replacement of existing older <br />type parking meters from Duncan Industries, Inc. of Harrison, Arkansas, in an <br />amount not to exceed Thirty -one Thousand Four Hundred Fifty and No /100 <br />Dollars ($31,450.00). <br />Reso -0131 1 <br />FXS:dr <br />F:Shared /Redwood /Council <br />08/06/01 <br />
