8/13/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 143o8 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />2001 -2002 ASPHALT - CONCRETE MATERIALS; AND <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br />THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br />for the purchase of 2001 -2002 Asphalt- Concrete Materials; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication, one bid was received; and <br />WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company of Redwood City, California, was the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />accept the bid of Granite Rock Company; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Granite Rock Company in the amount of One Hundred <br />Seventy -five Thousand Sixty -two and 60/100 Dollars ($175,062.60), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 17, 2001, for the purchase of <br />asphalt- concrete materials, which bid is on file in the office of the Director of <br />Public Works Services, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the sale of said asphalt- concrete materials. <br />Reso -0136 1 <br />FXS -dr <br />F: Shared /Redwood /Council <br />08/03/01 <br />
