08/27/01 <br />RES & &i N� 1434 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />UTILITY SYSTEM MATERIALS; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the purchase of utility system materials for the Water and Wastewater Divisions <br />of the Public Works Services Department of the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication two bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Roberts & Brune Co. of Redwood City, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />accept the bid of Roberts & Brune Co.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Roberts & Brune Co., in the total amount of One Hundred <br />Ninety -one Thousand One Hundred Fourteen and 39/100 Dollars ($191,114.39), <br />computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 24, 2001 for the <br />purchase of utility system materials, which bid is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the purchase of said materials to the City. <br />F:Atty2001Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1221 1 <br />
