09/10/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14-176 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT OF HOUSING INDUSTRY <br />FOUNDATION EMERGENCY HOUSING FUND <br />WHEREAS, Housing Industry Foundation, hereinafter referred to as "HIF" is a <br />foundation established for the purpose of assisting individuals and families to either <br />remain in or return to permanent housing; and <br />WHEREAS, HIF desires to enter into a memorandum of agreement to establish <br />a working relationship with Redwood City for the purpose of the City administering HIF <br />emergency housing funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of said funds are to serve as one -time emergency <br />financial assistance to residents at risk of losing their housing due to conditions beyond <br />their control; or assisting residents who are moving from homeless temporary or <br />unsuitable housing; or are relocating due to conditions beyond their control; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Oaks Community Center is the appropriate agency for <br />administering HIF emergency housing fund on behalf of Redwood City. <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain memorandum of agreement entitled, "Memorandum of Agreement <br />Housing Industry Foundation Emergency Housing Fund," by and between the City of <br />Redwood City, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California, and <br />Housing Industry Foundation, for the performance of the above - described services, a <br />copy of which memorandum is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br />FAtty2001 Shared/Redwood/Council/Reso/Reso-1 238 <br />
