— 09/24/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2001 -2002 UTILITY <br />TRENCH REPAIR SERVICE; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2001 -2002 Utility <br />Trench Repair Service in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two (2) bids were received <br />for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. of Belmont, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to S.G. Barber Construction, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of S.G. Barber Construction, Inc. in the amount One Hundred <br />Fifty Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($150,000.00), computed in accordance with <br />bidder's proposal dated August 22, 2001, for the 2001 -2002 Utility Trench <br />Repair Service, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and <br />declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Utility Trench Repair <br />Service," (form dated 09/28/01) by and between the City of Redwood City, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California and S.G.
