04/22/02 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14414 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE WATER RECYCLING <br />FACILITIES PLANNING GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE <br />REDWOOD CITY RECYCLED WATER PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board ( "SWRCB ") has <br />established a program for financial assistance of grants for a facilities planning study of <br />water recycling facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City ( "City ") has completed a Water Recycling <br />Feasibility Study for the Redwood Shores Area; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to apply for a grant for a facilities <br />planning study of the Redwood City Recycled Water Project (the "Project'); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Manger is hereby authorized and directed to sign and file, for and <br />on behalf of the City, a Water Recycling Facilities Planning Grant Application for a grant <br />from SWRCB in an amount not to exceed seventy -five thousand dollars ($75,000) for a <br />facilities planning study of the Project. <br />2. The City hereby agrees and further does authorize the City Manger to <br />certify that the City has and will comply with all applicable state statutory and regulatory <br />requirements related to any state grant funds received. <br />F:Atty/Reso /Reso.1299 1 <br />041602 <br />
