O R I G I N A L 01/13/03 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 03- 144 89 <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING SALARY SCHEDULE AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN FOR THE POSITION OF CITY <br />MANAGER. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. The current compensation for the position of City Manager is hereby <br />amended by revising the salary schedule as hereinafter described: <br />A. The salary of the City Manager shall be retroactively increased by the sum <br />of six percent (6 %) effective with the pay period beginning on October 8, <br />2001; <br />B. The salary of the City Manager shall then be retroactively increased by the <br />sum of six percent (6 %) effective with the pay period beginning on <br />October 7, 2002; and <br />C. The salary of the City Manager shall be increased by the sum of two <br />percent (2 %) effective with the pay period beginning on March 10, 2003. <br />2. In addition to the provisions of Paragraph 1, above, the City of Redwood <br />City will make the necessary contributions to the Public Employees' Retirement .System <br />(PERS) to purchase the City Manager's military service credits. Such payments will be <br />made over a three (3) year period of time as provided by PIERS so long as Ed Everett <br />remains employed by the City of Redwood City.
