08/05/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14600 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR CERTAIN <br />SERVICES RELATING TO A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD NOVEMBER 2, 2004 <br />WHEREAS, a special municipal election of the City of Redwood City shall be <br />held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, and shall be consolidated with the state -wide <br />general election to be held on said date; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo provides certain services pertaining to the <br />conduct of elections as set forth more fully in the Agreement hereinafter referenced. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That certain Agreement by and between the City of Redwood City, a charter city <br />and municipal corporation of the State of California and County of San Mateo, <br />entitled "Service Agreement for the Provision of Election Services between the <br />City of Redwood City and the San Mateo County Assessor - County Recorder" for <br />the performance by the County Clerk of the County of San Mateo of certain <br />services pertaining to the Special Municipal Election to be held on November 2, <br />2004, is hereby approved, subject to negotiation and approval by the City <br />Manager and approved as to form by the City Attorney's Office. The City <br />Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and to <br />attest thereto said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City.
