09/27/2004 <br />WHEREAS, the Childcare Policy further states that the City shall facilitate the <br />development and acquisition of space for childcare centers; and <br />WHEREAS, in furtherance of the Childcare Policy the City Council desires to <br />exempt, from the Cost Recovery Policy, stand -alone childcare facilities developed on <br />parcels a quarter of an acre in size or larger; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 27, 2004, the City Council held a public hearing (the <br />"Public Hearing ") at which oral and written presentations were permitted on the <br />proposed cost recovery program; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the time and place of the Public Hearing was both <br />published in a newspaper of general circulation and provided to interested parties; and <br />WHEREAS, at least ten (10) days prior to the Public Hearing, Planning staff <br />made available to the public data indicating the amount of cost or estimated cost <br />required to provide the services for which the application processing fee is to be levied <br />and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the services. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the cost recovery policy for planning related major development <br />project applications contained in the attached Exhibit 1, which is incorporated herein by <br />this reference (the "Cost Recovery Policy "), is hereby adopted. <br />2. That Exhibit A to Resolution No. 11333 is hereby amended by adding, for <br />large development projects, the Cost Recovery Policy. In those instances where the <br />provisions of Exhibit A to Resolution 11333 conflict with the Cost Recovery Policy, the <br />provisions of the Cost Recovery Policy will prevail. <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1398 2 14609 <br />091604 Muff # 501 <br />
