12/06/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14618 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RECITING THE FACT OF THE CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 2, 2004 DECLARING THE RESULT <br />AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW <br />WHEREAS, a Consolidated Special Municipal Election was held and conducted <br />in the City of Redwood City on Tuesday, November 2, 2004, as required by law; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in time, form and manner as <br />provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers <br />were appointed and in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes <br />were cast, received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time, form <br />and manner as required by law for the holding of elections in general law and charter <br />cities; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14599, adopted August 5, 2004, the <br />County Elections Department caused the returns of the election and has certified results <br />to this City Council, the results received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit <br />"A" <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the total number of voting precincts within the City of Redwood City is forty - <br />seven (47) and that the total number of ballots cast in said precincts was thirty - <br />six thousand nine hundred fifteen (36,915). <br />2. That the Measure voted upon at the election was as follows: Measure Q — Shall <br />Ordinance No. 1130 -332, which was unanimously passed by the City Council, <br />and that rezones property located at Peninsula Marina, Pete's Harbor, and <br />adjacent roadway parcels, to a Planned Community District to allow a <br />combination of uses including residential, commercial, marinas, parks and open <br />space, be adopted? <br />3. That the number of votes given at each precinct and the number of votes given in <br />the City for and against Measure Q were as listed in the attached Exhibit "A." <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1504 14618 <br />120204 1 Muff # 307 <br />
