04/04/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14635 <br />A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY TO DIRECT THE PLANNING COMMISSION TO <br />UNDERTAKE A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN AND TO PROVIDE <br />THE CITY COUNCIL WITH RECOMMENDED AMENDMENTS TO THE <br />STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN. <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 18, Article XI of the Redwood City Code (the "Code ") sets <br />forth procedures for amendments of the City of Redwood City Strategic General Plan <br />(the "General Plan "); and <br />WHEREAS, the last comprehensive amendment of the General Plan occurred in <br />1991; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City (the "City Council ") <br />desires to undertake a comprehensive review and amendment of the General Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 18.61 of the Redwood City Municipal Code provides for the <br />adoption, by the City Council, of a resolution of intention to direct the City of Redwood <br />City Planning Commission (the "Planning Commission ") to prepare a plan, or part or <br />element thereof. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the Planning Commission is directed to undertake a comprehensive review <br />of the General Plan and provide the Council with recommended amendments to <br />the General Plan. <br />2.
