ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14668 <br />09/12/2005 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FEE SCHEDULE FOR BUILDING AND <br />MISCELLANEOUS PERMITS AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. <br />12883 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12883, adopted August 26, 1996, this <br />City Council adopted procedures and a fee schedule for building and miscellaneous <br />permit fees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has determined that the fees <br />adopted by said Resolution No. 12883 are insufficient to cover the costs to the City for <br />providing the services for which such fees are charged and has proposed revisions <br />thereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has proposed and the City <br />Council Revenue Subcommittee recommends adoption of a new Fire, Planning, <br />Engineering Plan Review Fee and Stormwater Protection Inspection Fee as shown on <br />Table No. 1-A, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has proposed and the City <br />Council Revenue Subcommittee recommends amending certain specified building and <br />miscellaneous fees as described below to reflect current hourly labor rates of the City of <br />Redwood City, and which are shown on Tables No. 1 -A, 1 -13, 1 -C and 1 -D which are <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof: <br />Table No. 1 -A <br />Inspections outside of normal business hours (minimum charge 2 hours); <br />Minimum Building permit fee, sign permit; <br />Minimum Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, sidewalk/driveway permit fee <br />Table No. 1 -B - Mechanical Permit Fees <br />Permit issuance for the issuance of each permit <br />Table No. 1 -C — Plumbing Permit Fees <br />Permit issuance for the issuance of each permit <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66016, the Community <br />Development Department made available to the public data indicating the amount of <br />cost, or estimated cost, required to provide the services for which the proposed fees will <br />be charged and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the services, including <br />general fund revenues; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council considered said proposed fees and fiscal data at a <br />regularly scheduled public meeting and duly noticed public hearing on July 25, 2005, <br />notice of which was mailed to interested parties who had requested such notice at least <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1549 14668 <br />071105 1 Muff # 505 <br />
