09/26/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14670 <br />RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF ST. FRANCIS STREET (55' <br />WIDE) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO PART 3 OF <br />DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA; RESERVING A PUBLIC SERVICES <br />EASEMENT (55' WIDE) <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing at Section 8300) <br />of Division 9 of the California Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City, by Resolution No. 14657, adopted July 11, 2005, declared its intention to <br />vacate the hereinafter described 55' wide right -of -way; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code, notice of intention to vacate the herein described portion of St. Francis Street has <br />been published and posted; and <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing on the question of vacating said portion of St. <br />Francis Street has been held and evidence thereon received. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the hereinafter described <br />portion of St. Francis Street (55' wide) is unnecessary for present or prospective <br />public purposes and hereby orders said portion of St. Francis Street vacated in <br />the City of Redwood City. <br />2. The City reserves a Public Services Easement (PSE) (55' wide) over the formerly <br />existing street. <br />3. The portion of St. Francis Street to be vacated and the PSE is more fully <br />described in Exhibit "A" and depicted in Exhibit "B" hereof, which Exhibits are <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />4.
