The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Council <br />of the City, a statement of the results of the election, showing: (1) the whole <br />number of ballots cast in the City; (2) the names of the persons voted for; (3) the <br />Measures voted upon; (4) for what officeeach person was voted for; (5) the <br />number of votes given at each precinct to each person, and for and against each <br />Measure; (6) the total number of votes given to each person, and for and against <br />each Measure. <br />SECTION 7. The City Council of the City of Redwood City submitted to <br />the qualified voters of the City at the Election, Measures "L," "M," and "N." <br />Measure L : "Shall specified sections of the City Charter be <br />amended to allow appropriations or expenditures of public money to be approved <br />by resolution; permit the City Council to establish by motion a date for the City <br />Manager to submit a proposed budget; and permit the City Council to adopt its <br />budget and cancel any approved appropriation by resolution ?" <br />Measure M : "Shall specified sections of the City Charter be <br />amended to permit the Library Board to furnish its proposed budget to the City <br />Manager by the same date as required of other city departments; allow Planning <br />Commissioners and Port Commissioners to continue to hold office until their <br />successors are appointed and qualified; and to permit the Board of Equalization <br />to meet on any regular City Council meeting date in July of each year ?" <br />Measure N : "Shall a specified section of the City Charter be <br />amended to allow a change in the various threshold amounts for the purchase of <br />materials or supplies to determine when contracts (1) may be awarded without <br />solicitation or advertisement; (2) may be awarded to the lowest responsible <br />bidder after solicitation but without advertisement or public bidding; and (3) may <br />be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder after public bidding?" <br />Each of the Measures passed by a majority of voters voting in favor <br />thereof. <br />SECTION 8. The City Clerk shall make and deliver to each of the <br />persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City Clerk and <br />authenticated; that the City Clerk shall also administer to each person elected the <br />Oath of Office prescribed in the Constitution of the State of California and shall <br />have them subscribe to it and file it in the office of the City Clerk.
