<br />11/05/2007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14816 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR HISTORIC lANDMARK <br />DESIGNATION OF THE PROPERTY AT 1816 HOPKINS AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 18,2006, the owner/applicant, Luciano Turchet, of 1816 <br />Hopkins Avenue (A. P. N. 052-132-220) submitted a detailed historic analysis on the <br />subject property that was prepared by Circa: Historic Property Development, a certified <br />historic preservation consultant, setting forth with particularity, compliance by this <br />proposed property with the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance, of which a <br />copy of said detailed historic analysis is on file with the City Clerk's Office; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee of the City of Redwood <br />City has considered and recommended the historic landmark designation of the <br />property at 1816 Hopkins Avenue to the Planning Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City has <br />considered this application and recommended the historic landmark designation of the <br />property at 1816 Hopkins Avenue to the City Council; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the subject property contains improvements which have a special <br />character, historic interest, and aesthetic value and which represent several <br />architectural periods and styles typical to the history of the City, and which <br />improvements satisfy the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City <br />Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code): <br /> <br />A. The subject property exemplifies and reflects special elements of the <br />City's cultural, aesthetic and architectural history; or <br /> <br />B. The subject property is identified with persons and events significant in <br />local, State and National History; or <br /> <br />C. The subject property embodies distinctive characteristics of a style, type, <br />period or method of construction or is a valuable example of the use of <br />indigenous materials and craftsmanship; or <br /> <br />D. The subject property is representative of the notable work of a builder, <br />designer or architect. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1752 <br />102907 <br /> <br />14816 <br />Muff # 612 <br />
