<br />04/24/2006 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14707 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br />CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2005-2010) AND APPLICATION FOR <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br />CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br />CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br />YEAR 2006-2007) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program authorized <br /> <br />pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93- <br /> <br />383), as amended ("the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop <br /> <br />a Consolidated Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> <br />objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> <br />and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br /> <br />Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Forty-eight Thousand, Ninety Dollars ($748,090) and HOME Investment <br /> <br />Partnership funds in the amount of Three Hundred Eighty-two Thousand, Six Hundred <br /> <br />Ninety-three Dollars ($382,693) for the period of July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />F:ATTY/RESO/RESO.1613 <br />041306 <br /> <br />14707 <br />Muff # 405 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />,--""._-_."", ,- ---_..""",,-,,-_...._--,,____m""'__"""'-----"------ <br />
