<br />07/24/2006 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14724 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />DIRECTING THE REDWOOD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION TO <br />INITIATE, CONSIDER, STUDY, AND SUBMIT ITS <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AS APPROPRIATE WITH RESPECT TO A <br />PROPOSED GENERAL PLAN AND ZONING MAP AMENDMENT FOR <br />REAL PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 305,333,353,369, AND 373 MAIN <br />STREET AND 1001 VETERANS BOULEVARD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 21,2006, a proposed amendment to the Strategic General <br /> <br />Plan of the City of Redwood City changing the Land Use designation for 333 Main <br /> <br />Street from "Commercial - Office Park" to "Heavy Commercial - Mixed Use", as further <br /> <br />shown on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto, was presented and considered by the <br /> <br />Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on the above date, a proposed amendment to the Zoning Map of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City changing the zoning designation for 333 Main Street from <br /> <br />"Industrial Park - (IP) to "General Commercial - Combined Residential(CG-R)" as <br /> <br />shown on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto, was presented and considered by the <br /> <br />Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendments by the <br /> <br />Planning Commission, the Planning Commission forwarded its recommendation to the <br /> <br />City Council that it authorize the initiation of amendments to the Strategic General Plan <br /> <br />and Zoning Map as proposed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 24, 2006, pursuant to a public meeting, the proposed <br /> <br />amendments were duly considered by the City Council which then authorized the <br /> <br />F:Atty/Reso/Reso.1636 <br />072606 <br /> <br />14724 <br />Muff # 601 <br /> <br />-------,----------_w_---,--'---'-"-""O'---'-- . <br />
