Construct solid <br />N <br />O plywood fences around construction <br /> sites adjacent to residences, <br />~ <br />~ operational businesses, or noise- <br />~ sensitive land uses. <br />O <br />~ Temporaryl~oise Blankets. <br />w Temporary noise control blanket <br />w barriers should be erected, if <br /> necessary, along building facades of <br /> construction sites. This mitigation <br /> would only be necessary if conflicts <br /> occurced which were irresolvable by <br /> proper scheduling. (Noise control <br /> blanket barriers can be rented and <br /> quickly erected.) <br /> • Noise Disturbance Coordinator. For <br /> larger construction projects, the City <br /> may choose to require project <br /> designation of a "Noise Disturbance <br /> Coordinator" who would be <br /> responsible for responding to any <br /> local complaints about construction <br /> noise- The Disturbance Coordinator <br /> would determine the cause of the <br /> noise complaint (e.g., starting too <br /> early, bad muffler, etc.) and Institute <br /> reasonable measures to correct the <br /> problem. Conspicuously post a <br /> telephone number for the <br /> Disturbance Coordinator of the <br /> construction site and include it in the <br /> notice sent to neighbors regarding <br /> the construction schedule. (The <br /> project sponsor should be <br /> responsibte for designating a Noise <br /> Disturbance Coordinator, posting the <br /> phone number and providing <br /> construction schedule notices.
