03/27/2007 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14773 <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY'S <br />CLASSIFICATION PLAN AND APPROVING RESULTING BUDGET <br />APPROPRIATION <br />WHEREAS, Fundraising support for the Police Activities League (PAL) has been <br />assigned to a contract employee for the past seven years. During this time the program <br />has grown significantly, resulting in the contractor increasingly assuming responsibilities <br />for the overall administration of PAL, including the various programs and overseeing <br />staff, volunteers, and facility operations.; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department has requested that the contract position be <br />converted to a regular full-time position in the existing classification of Management <br />Analyst I/II.; and <br />WHEREAS, the position will continue to serve in a fundraising and administrative <br />oversight capacity, perform additional analytical and management tasks, and provide <br />support to PAL, which is a private non-profit agency; and <br />WHEREAS, a job description of the Management Analyst I/II classification is provided <br />for informational purposes (See attachment 3.) <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
