05/07/2007 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14775 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CONTINUING <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF <br />GOVERNMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and <br />certain other Cities located in the County of San Mateo desire to continue the <br />establishment of a City/County Association of Governments for the purpose of <br />preparing, adopting, monitoring and enforcing certain County-wide State <br />mandated plans; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council an <br />agreement pursuant to which the City/County Association of Governments <br />heretofore established pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C. <br />§6500 et seq.) shall continue in existence. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Joint Powers Agreement -Continuing <br />Establishment of the City/County Association of Governments," (form dated <br />Revised: March, 2007) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the County <br />of San Mateo, and other Cities within San Mateo County specified in said <br />agreement shall exercise jointly certain powers with respect to the preparation, <br />adoption, monitoring and enforcement of certain County-wide State mandated <br />plans, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />F:/Atty/Reso/Reso.1702 1 14775 <br />042307 Muff # 304 <br />
