8/27/2007
ATTACHMENT 4

made available at the Office of the City Clerk, and incorporated herein by this reference,
is found to be in conformance with the goals and objectives of Article 52 of the Zoning
Code of the City of Redwood City.
Section 3. That the City Council finds that the Precise Plan, as revised,
demonstrates the following features: compatibility with the existing hillside residential
neighborhoods; improved pedestrian and vehicle circulation access; attractive public
street frontages with new sidewalks, planter strips and street trees; a coherent, unified
campus with a compassionate healing environment.
Section 4. That the City Council finds that the purpose of the Sequoia Hospital
Precise Plan is to provide a unified and comprehensive framework of land use
regulations and design guidelines to guide new construction, retrofit, expansion and
buildout of the Sequoia Hospital Campus.
Section 5. That the City Council further finds that the key intentions of the
Precise Plan are to ensure that the buildout of the campus is compatible with the
surrounding hillside residential neighborhoods and to enable Sequoia Hospital to meet
its rebuilding objectives to provide innovative and exceptional health care services to
southern San Mateo County.
Section 6. The Precise Plan is hereby adopted concurrently with the
establishment of the P District and will become effective at the time the P District
becomes effective.

* * *

Atty/Reso/Reso.1739
082207

2

147803
Muff # 613
