<br />12/17/2007 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the findings of fact contained in Exhibit A will address each of these <br /> <br />situations and will present the local situation, which either singularly or in combination, <br /> <br />cause the established amendments to be adopted. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. In connection with the adoption of that certain ordinance entitled, "An <br /> <br />Ordinance Repealing Article II of Chapter 12 to the Code of the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />adding Article II of Chapter 12 to the Code of The City of Redwood City Relating to Fire <br /> <br />Prevention; and Adopting By Reference The 'International Fire Code, 2006 Edition', As <br /> <br />Published By The International Code Council" ("the Ordinance") it is hereby expressly <br /> <br />found and determined that modifications, deletions, and additions made to the Fire <br /> <br />Code as set forth in the Ordinance are reasonably necessary to provide for a system of <br /> <br />protection and that modifications or changes are reasonably necessary because of <br /> <br />local climatic, geologic or topographic conditions as fully set forth in the Finding of Facts <br /> <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A. <br /> <br />2. The Local Amendments are enacted pursuant to the authority of Section <br /> <br />17958.5 and Section 18941.5 of the California Health and Safety Code, for the <br /> <br />purposes of addressing and meeting certain "local conditions" unique and peculiar to <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City, which are more specifically described in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />3.
