<br />01/14/2008 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14827 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT, BECAUSE OF <br />LOCAL CONDITIONS, THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, WELFARE, <br />AND NECESSITY, REQUIRE CHANGES OR MODIFICATION TO <br />CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF ARTICLES II, III IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, AND <br />ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 9 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />REGULATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR BUILDINGS AND <br />STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND ADOPTING BY <br />REFERENCE THE FOLLOWING CODES: "THE INTERNATIONAL <br />BUILDING CODE, 2006 EDITION"; "THE INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY <br />MAINTENANCE CODE, 2006 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM <br />MECHANICAL CODE, 2006 EDITION"; "THE UNIFORM PLUMBING <br />CODE, 2006 EDITION"; "THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL <br />ELECTRICAL CODE ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS, 2006 EDITION"; <br />AND "THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 2005 EDITION," AS <br />MODIFIED AND MADE APPLICABLE TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 50022.1, et seq., of the <br /> <br />Government Code, and Section 15 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, this <br /> <br />Council proposes to adopt by reference "The International Building Code, 2006 Edition", <br /> <br />"The International Property Maintenance Code, 2006 Edition", "The Uniform Mechanical <br /> <br />Code, 2006 Edition", "The Uniform Plumbing Code, 2006 Edition", "The International <br /> <br />Code Council Electrical Code Administrative Provisions, 2006 Edition, and the National <br /> <br />Electrical Code, 2005 Edition", (hereinafter referred to as the "Codes"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection therewith, certain changes or modifications are <br /> <br />proposed to be made to the substantive provisions of the Codes, which changes or <br /> <br />modifications are reasonably necessary due to local condition (the "Local <br /> <br />Amendments"); and <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1756 <br />120407 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />14827 <br />Muff # 305 <br />
