<br />06/09/2008 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14867 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO <br />LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2008-2009 FOR THE <br />SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO COLLECT SUCH <br />ASSESSMENTS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 11, 2005, voters of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape <br /> <br />Maintenance District (the "District") approved, by a vote of 100% yes to 0% no, the levy <br /> <br />of a special tax, the amounts of such tax to be annually adjusted under the 5-year <br /> <br />budget as specified in the City Manager's and City Engineer's Reports, heretofore <br /> <br />approved by Resolution No. 14644 adopted May 23, 2005 on each non-exempt parcel <br /> <br />of land in the district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2008-2009 IS <br /> <br />$212,500.00; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br /> <br />Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests <br /> <br />and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax <br /> <br />assessments in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2008-2009 in accordance with <br /> <br />A TTY/RESO/RESO .1821 <br />052308 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />14867 <br />MUFF # 506 <br />
