<br />09/08/2008 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 11, 2008, the SBWMA received proposals from four (4) <br /> <br />companies to provide the collection services described in the RFP; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 28,2008, the SBWMA Board approved the Collection Services <br /> <br />RFP Selection Committee recommendation to select Norcal Waste Systems of San Mateo <br /> <br />County for both the North and South Districts ("Combined Districts"). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCil OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby approves the SBWMA Collection Services RFP Selection <br />Board Recommendation to select Norcal Waste Systems of San Mateo County for <br />both the North and South Districts ("Combined Districts"). <br /> <br />2. The City Manager or designee is hereby designated to and is authorized to <br />commence negotiations with Norcal Waste Systems of San Mateo County for the <br />Franchise Agreement for Solid Waste, Recyclable Material, and Organic Material <br />Collection Services with consultation by the SBWMA; <br /> <br />3. The City Manager or designee is hereby designated to return a final Franchise <br />Agreement for Solid Waste, Recyclable Material, and Organic Material Collection <br />Services to the City Council for execution. <br /> <br />4.
