04/27/2009 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14934 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTON PLAN OF THE <br />CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2005 -2010) AND APPLICATION FOR <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br />CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br />CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br />YEAR 2009 -2010) <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Bloch Grant Program authorized <br />pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93- <br />383) as amended "the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop <br />Consolidated Flan and p rovide for the issuance of grants in order to a ttain the <br />objective of the development ent of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br />and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br />persons of lour or moderate income; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br />Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Acton n" ) and an application to <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br />Development Block Grant (the "Application" ) in the amount of ro im ely six <br />Hundred Seventy Five Thousand, and No Dollars ($67'5,000) and HOME Investment <br />Partnership funds In the amount of approximately Three Hundred and seventy Five <br />Thousand, and No Dollars ($375,000) for the period of July 1, 2009 through June 30 <br />2010; and <br />ATT1Eso /Es.1 895 <br />042103 <br />14934 <br />MUFF #404 <br />I <br />
