Box. 391 <br />Redwood City, California 94063 <br />Re: DMB Redwood City Saltworks Entitlement Application <br />Dear Ms. Ekas and Mr. Lyon, <br />DMB Redwood City Saltworks ("Saltworks' or "Saltworks Team") is proud to <br />present to the elected officials, residents, and staff of the City of Redwood City <br />("City") the culmination of over three years of community engagement, outreach, <br />and dialog: the Saltworks 50150 Balanced Plan, With equal commitments to the <br />establishment of community open space and the creation of a precedent-setting <br />transit-oriented community, the 50/50 Balanced Plan reflects the priorities and <br />vision of Redwood City as articulated by the overwhelming majority of the more <br />than 10,000 participants in our outreach process. <br />Overview <br />The 50/50 Balanced Plan is a vision for the 1,436 acre site located within the Cit <br />north of U.S. 101 and east of Seaport Boulevard ("Saltworks Site"), At the <br />culmination of what is likely to be a 25- build-out, approval and development <br />of the 50/50 Balanced Plan would convert a centur industrial salt-harvestin <br />facilit into a model of sustainable communit desi and tidal marsh restoration. <br />The attached package includes two primary components: the Application <br />Submittal and the Statement of Justification, as well as several technical studies. <br />The Application Submittal includes (as noted in the attached "Plannin Permit <br />Application Form") requests for initiation of the following <br />0 General Plan Amendment <br />* Specific Plan; <br />■ Zoning Map/Text Amendment; and <br />Development Agreement. <br />14958 <br />MUFF # 601 <br />
