<br />. <br /> <br />SvvC:wb 8/14/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8667 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AUG 1 8 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH AMPEX CORPORATION FOR INSTALLATION <br />OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC SIGNALS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ampex Corporation Corporation maintains offices of <br /> <br />employment at 401 Broadway in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ampex employees who use the pedestrian crosswalk in <br /> <br />front of 401 Broadway believe said crossing to be inadequate to <br /> <br />insure their safe crossing; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Director of Public Works has determined that <br /> <br />pedestrian-activated signals are warranted for said crosswalk <br /> <br />location, and has further determined that the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />is currently unable to fund such traffic signal project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ampex Corporation has proposed that it will partici- <br /> <br />pate in the cost of such project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent and desire of this Council to approve <br /> <br />an agreement for the joint participation and installation of said <br /> <br />traffic signal project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Pedestrian <br /> <br />Traffic Signals" (form dated 8/5/80), by and between the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City and Ampex Corporation a copy of which agreement is <br /> <br />currently on file in the office of the City Clerk to which copy <br /> <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br /> <br />approved.
