<br />.. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />SWC:mf 10/23/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />No.8711 <br /> <br />OR1GI NAL <br />OCT 2 7 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF CITY-OWNED <br />CUTTER-SUCTION DREDGE; REQUESTING REVISED SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR THE SALE THEREOF; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO <br />READVERTIZE FOR SALE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8706, adopted October 16, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the purchase of a city- <br /> <br />owned cutter-suction dredge; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, one bid was received for the <br /> <br />purchase of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amount of said bid is significantly lower than <br /> <br />the appraised value of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined that the specifications <br /> <br />should be revised and the advertising for sale should be more <br /> <br />extensive; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The sole bid received for purchase of a city-owned <br /> <br />cutter-suction dredge is hereb~ rejected. <br /> <br />2. The Director of Finance is hereby requested to revise <br /> <br />specifications to enhance the sale of said equipment. <br /> <br />3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />readvertise said equipment for sale in a manner consistent with <br /> <br />Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, and <br /> <br />with Resolution No. 8706, adopted by this Council on October 16, <br /> <br />1980; and further to place suitable advertisements for said sale <br /> <br />in appropriate trade publications. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
