<br />- ~ - <br /> <br />..... <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />CGM:mf 11/13/80 <br /> <br />--I <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8732 <br /> <br />NOV 1 7 1980 <br /> <br />On,nfM l'l L' <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EL CAMINO REAL AND K~Uhtrl <br />CHARTER TRAFFIC SIGNALIZATION PROJECT, EL CAMINO <br />REAL/WHIPPLE AVENUE TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION <br />PROJECT, AND HOLLY STREET INTERCHANGE PHASE II <br />PROJECT FOR FEDERAL AID URBAN PROGRAM FUNDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has advised this <br /> <br />Council that the El Camino Real and Charter Traffic Signalization <br /> <br />Project, the El Camino Real/Whipple Avenue Traffic Signal Modifica- <br /> <br />tion Project, and the Holly Street Interchange Phase II Project, <br /> <br />are vital projects the construction of which will result in improved <br /> <br />traffic circulation and in greater traffic safety in this City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the construction of such projects will benefit not <br /> <br />only this City but adjacent jurisdictions as well and will facilitate <br /> <br />traffic movement on State highways situated in this City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That the El Camino Real and Charter Traffic Signalization <br /> <br />Project, the El Camino Real/Whipple Avenue Traffic Signal Modifica- <br /> <br />tion Project, and the Holly Street Interchange Phase II Project <br /> <br />will result in increased traffic circulation and improved traffic <br /> <br />safety in this City and in adjacent jurisdictions. <br /> <br />2. That the abovereferenced projects are recommended for <br /> <br />approval for Federal Aid Urban Program funding by the City-County <br /> <br />Engineers Association of the County of San Mateo. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
