" SvlC :rnf 12/11/80 ORIGINAL RES 0 L UTI 0 N N o. 875 8 DEe 1 5 1980 RESOLUTION ORDERING STREET SUPERINTENDENT TO ABATE WEEDS, DIRT, RUBBISH AND RANK GROWTHS WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 8749, adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on November 24, 1980, said Council declared all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths existing upon private property within certain areas of the City of Redwood City and in and upon the sidewalks, parkways, streets, avenues, roadways, boulevards, highways and alleys situate within the City of Redwood City to be a public nuisance; and WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 8749 ordered a public hearing to hear any objections to the removal of said weeds, dirt, rubbish, and rank growths on December 15, 1980; and WHEREAS, due notice of such hearing was given as required by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood City; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. All protests, oral and written, to the removal of any weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths and the abatement of same declared to be a nuisance by Resolution No. 8749 of the Council of the City of Redwood City are hereby overruled. 2. The Street Superintendent of Redwood City is hereby directed to remove, or cause to be removed, all weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths declared to be a nuisance by said Resolution No. 8749, at the expense of the owners of the lots or property upon which, or in front of which, such nuisance exists. 3. The Street Superintendent of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to keep an itemized account of the cost of abating such nuisance as provided by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Redwood City Code. * * * 8758
