<br />CGM:mf 12/29/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L U T 'ION N o. 8 772 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />JAN 5 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BICYCLE PATH IN CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY; AND AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR <br />TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this City is desirous of an extension of a bicycle <br /> <br />path from Marsh Road (at Dumbarton Bridge) to Marine World <br /> <br />Parkway in this City, a project which has been recommended <br /> <br />by the San Mateo County Bikeways Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, such an extension is in harmony with, and in <br /> <br />furtherance of the Transportation Element of the General Plan <br /> <br />of this City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Transportation Development Act funds are available <br /> <br />for the development of such a project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The proposed extension of a bicycle path from Marsh <br /> <br />Road (at Dumbarton Bridge) to Marine World Parkway in this City <br /> <br />is hereby approved and the appropriate City employees are hereby <br /> <br />directed to prepare a proposal to the San Mateo County Bikeways <br /> <br />Committee and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. <br /> <br />2.
