<br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />1. The proposal of FIRST CONTINENTAL LEASING CORPORATION of <br /> <br /> <br />Dallas, Texas, to lease, with an option to purchase, that certain <br /> <br /> <br />data processing "hardware" equipment to be acquired by the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City pursuant to the agreement between said City and CRMC <br /> <br /> <br />(which agreement was approved by Res. No. 8779, adopted Jan. 26, <br /> <br /> <br />1981, by this Council) for a term of five years at an interest rate <br /> <br /> <br />of 9.95 percent, payable in five annual installments at Fifty-two <br /> <br /> <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-nine and 44/100 Dollars ($52,869.44), <br /> <br /> <br />is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to <br /> <br /> <br />execute a lease-purchase agreement evidencing the aforesaid trans- <br /> <br /> <br />action, and the City Manager, Director of Finance, or other <br /> <br /> <br />appropriate officials are hereby authorized to execute such other <br /> <br /> <br />documents as may be appropriate to perfect the acquisition of said <br /> <br /> <br />equipment through said lease-purchase arrangement; provided, however, <br /> <br /> <br />that all such documents evidencing such acquisition shall be subject <br /> <br /> <br />to the approval of the City Attorney as to form. <br /> <br /> <br />2. To the extent, if at all, inconsistent herewith, the <br /> <br /> <br />provisions of that certain agreement by and between the City of <br /> <br /> <br />Redwood City and CRMC (as approved pursuant to Res. No. 8779 above <br /> <br /> <br />referenced) shall be deemed amended to provide for the acquisition <br /> <br /> <br />of the data processing "hardware" equipment therein described <br /> <br /> <br />pursuant to the lease-purchase agreement herein approved. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />-2- <br />
