<br />SWC:mf 2/13/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8 805 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />FEB 2 3 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br />(RESCUE VEHICLE) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of certain <br /> <br />property hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that the herein- <br /> <br />after described property is not needed for present or prospective <br /> <br />municipal or public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />determined the current reasonable market value thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare said property surplus and authorize its sale in accordance <br /> <br />with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, informal bids have been solicited to various agencies <br /> <br />in California, and Long Beach Search & Rescue has bid the sum of <br /> <br />Six Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($600.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention of this Council to accept the <br /> <br />bid of said Long Beach Search & Rescue and to authorize sale of <br /> <br />such property to said Long Beach Search & Rescue; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that <br /> <br />the following City-owned property is surplus; is no longer necessary <br /> <br />or required for municipal or public purposes; and has an appraised <br /> <br />value of less than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00): <br /> <br />1954 Reo Rescue Vehicle <br /> <br />2. The bid of Long Beach Search & Rescue in the amount of <br /> <br />Six Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($600.00) is hereby accepted; and <br /> <br />the Director of Finance or his authorized representative is hereby <br /> <br />authorized and directed to expedite sale of the aforementioned surplus <br /> <br />property to said Long Beach Search & Rescue. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8805 <br />
