RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 883 8 APR 2 7 1981 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR CERTAIN DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES OF THE REDWOOD CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. <br />however, that any employee holding a position in one of the above <br /> <br /> <br />mentioned classifications who, after January 1, 1974, is so assigned <br /> <br /> <br />the duties of a job classification with a higher salary than that <br /> <br /> <br />to which he is regularly assigned, shall receive the above mentioned <br /> <br /> <br />additional compensation for any time worked under such circumstances <br /> <br /> <br />commencing with the first such assignment, if such employee was <br /> <br /> <br />ever so assigned prior to January 1, 1974, irrespective of the <br /> <br /> <br />number of shifts. <br /> <br /> <br />8. The provisions of the foregoing sections of this resolution <br /> <br /> <br />to the contrary notwithstanding, if a position allocated to a <br /> <br /> <br />given class in the competitive service is reallocated to a <br /> <br /> <br />different class in order to correct an error or to provide for <br /> <br /> <br />a change in duties or responsibilities of such position, and <br /> <br /> <br />there is no change in the incumbent of the position so reallocated, <br /> <br /> <br />and the maximum salary provided for the position as reallocated <br /> <br /> <br />is less than the salary received by the incumbent prior to <br /> <br /> <br />reallocation, then said incumbent shall continue to be compensated <br /> <br /> <br />at the rate paid said incumbent prior to such reallocation. <br /> <br /> <br />9. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its <br /> <br /> <br />adoption; provided, however, the provisions hereof shall be <br /> <br /> <br />operative retroactively to and including January 1, 1981. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />-3- <br />
